Abstract

This study examines the formulation of management strategies based on SWOT analysis to enhance the competitiveness of SMTK Marturia Sentani Jayapura amid increasing challenges in educational competition and institutional sustainability. The study aims to identify internal and external factors influencing school competitiveness and formulate appropriate strategic management directions. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through interviews, observations, and documentation involving 10 informants consisting of school leaders, teachers, administrative staff, and school committee members. Data were analyzed using SWOT matrices through data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and strategic formulation. The findings indicate that institutional strengths and community support provide significant opportunities for competitiveness improvement despite limitations in facilities and technological adaptation. The study concludes that SWOT-based strategic management contributes to strengthening adaptive, contextual, and sustainable school competitiveness.
